Jasmine Fuller
Jasmine Fuller is one of our woodwind specialists with G-H Music. She is originally from Jackson, TN and is a graduate of Madison Academic High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and Political Science from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. At Austin Peay, Jasmine was a member of the "Governor’s Own" Marching Band, APSU Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble as well as a member of the Clarinet Choir. Jasmine has studied clarinet with Dr. David McClune and Dr. Mingzhe Wang. She has worked with several bands in West Tennesse including Millington Central High School, Milan High and Middle Schools, Dyersburg High School, and Humboldt High School. Jasmine has also taught at El Dorado High School in Southern Arkansas. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outside with her dogs and reading.
Heather Glenn-Hoekstra
Heather Glenn-Hoekstra is one of our brass specialists and is originally from Humboldt, TN. In addition to her work with G-H Music, she is the band director at Humboldt Middle School. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, cum laude, from Austin Peay State University (APSU) in Clarksville, TN. Heather has studied trumpet and brass pedagogy with Richard Steffen and Lee Weimer. At APSU she performed with the Wind Ensemble as principal trumpet, the Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Collegians, the "Governor's Own" Marching Band, and IB5 Brass Quintet. As a part of IB5, Heather competed and placed in the 2012 Calvin Smith Brass Quintet Festival and Competition. She has taught programs in the Middle and West Tennessee region including Humboldt High and Middle Schools, South Gibson County High School, Dyersburg High School, Crockett County High School, Northeast (Clarksville) High School, and Clarksville High School. Heather is a member of the National Association for Music Education of which she served as president of the APSU Collegiate Chapter. She currently resides outside of Jackson, TN, with her husband, John. Her extra-musical interests include traveling, landscaping, and painting. Heather is also an advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation which she has served as a panelist for regional conferences in Tennessee.
John Glenn-Hoekstra
John Glenn-Hoekstra is a brass specialist with G-H music and a native of Clarksville, TN. He attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, magna cum laude. During his time at APSU, John was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Collegians, "Governor's Own" Marching Band, and IB5 Brass Quintet, serving as principal trumpet in the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. As a part of IB5, John competed and placed in the 2012 Calvin Smith Brass Quintet Festival and Competition. John studied trumpet and brass pedagogy with Richard Steffen and conducting with Dr. Gregory Wolynec. He has taught for several band programs in Middle and West Tennessee including the Gibson County High School, Montgomery Central High School, Humboldt High and Middle Schools, Milan High and Middle Schools, Dyersburg High School, South Gibson County High School, Medina Middle School, Rutherford Junior High School, Dyer Junior High School, and Rossview High School. John is a member of NAfME (the National Association for Music Education), WTSBOA, Phi Kappa Phi, and Pi Kappa Lambda. He served as co-president of the APSU Chapter of NAfME. John is the recipient of the 2010 LaRue V. Pryor Music Scholarship from APSU. He currently resides outside Jackson, TN, with his wife, Heather. His interests outside of music include travel, landscaping, and reading.
Caleb wise
Caleb Wise is a clarinet specialist with G-H music from Lewisburg, TN. He attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Music Composition and a Master’s Degree in Clarinet Performance cum laude. While at APSU, Caleb was a member of many ensembles including: APSU Wind Ensemble, APSU Symphony Orchestra, APSU Symphonic Band, APSU Jazz Collegians, “Governor’s Own” Marching Band, Clarinet Choir, and APSU Trio. Caleb studied clarinet under Dr. Stephen Clark, and Dr. Mingzhe Wang along with composition under Dr. Jeffrey Wood. Caleb is also a member of the 129th Tennessee National Guard Army Band, in Nashville, TN. While at the Army School of Music, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Caleb auditioned well enough to gain Charlie One status, which is reserved for the top musicians in the United States Army. As an Army Bandsmen, Caleb currently is the principal clarinetist in the 129th Concert Band and also participates in the Marching Band. Caleb currently resides in Bartlett, TN, with his wife, Lindsay Wise. His interests outside of music include spending time with family/friends, hiking, running, reading, and playing with his cat Puccini.
